I just found out that Tommy Osvatics has passed away..

I am shocked to hear this..

We were in Yorktown Elementary School together..

That was a very tuff kid. He was a capable fighter and I never messed with him because I knew he would kick my ass. I did alright in school but there were some people I didn't fight and he was one of them.. He was very friendly too and we got along very well.  We were the ones who started the Yorktown Elem. tumbling team..Tom Osvatics, Susan Ruane, me, Marc Price, Lori Morocco. We were bad ass!! We did shows. We had uniforms.

Mr. Burrows was the P.E teacher that WE begged to let us have our own tmbling team.. We came in early before school and after school we paracticed..

Those were very good memories.. Tommy Osvatics used to do a marathon style hand stand and he walked all over the place on his hands and Mr Burrows nicknamed him "Hot Dog"

There was a time where Tommy got into a really bad fight with Bobby Thompson. Bobby was a farm kid and he was bigger than everyone.. Tommy was not afraid of this guy and it was a blood bath of a fight after school  at Yorktown Elem.

I saw the fight begin right as school let out. I couldn't watch because they were just beating the hell out of eachother. I went home and changed clothes and much later went back to the schoolyard to play and I saw them still there. They were locked together on the ground. all bloody and neither would let go of the other.

Then finally a teacher came out and pulled them apart.

 I'll never forget that.

 Tuff kid.

I'm so sorry to hear he is gone.
