Kevin J. Wallace

Kevin J. Wallace passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 16, 2016. He was 54.

Kevin was born in Walnut Creek, CA and grew up in Bowie, MD. He attended Bowie Senior H.S. from which he graduated in 1980. He then attended the United States Military Academy at West Point New York and graduated with a BS in Applied Science and Engineering in 1984. Kevin was then commissioned as an Army infantry officer. He is a graduate of the United States Army's Airborne and Ranger schools. As an army officer he served in the 36th Infantry Regiment (3rd AD, Kirchgoens, Germany) and in the 7th Infantry Division (Fort Ord, CA). He served in Operation Just Cause in December of 1989 in the Republic of Panama for which he was awarded the Combat Infantryman's Badge. He left the military service in 1991.

After the military, Kevin enjoyed a very successful business career in the financial services industry where he was an executive with Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, and Janney Montgomery Scott, serving most recently as the Director of Learning and Professional Development and as the Vice President of Wealth Management. He was extremely talented and inspired countless financial advisors and colleagues to excel in their careers within the financial services industry. He was also very insightful in identifying good investments in any of the market's many sectors.

Kevin was active in his community having been a longtime member of the 7th Congressional District's West Point Selection Board. In addition, he served as President of the Central Bucks East High School Football Parent's Club as well as with Boy Scouts of America Troop 6 as Eagle Scout Coordinator. He was also involved in various other community sponsored events, especially those benefitting the military.

In addition to his loving wife Laura, he is survived by his children, Matthew and his fiancé Caitie, Aileen, and Brendan as well as his siblings: Sean (Eileen), Regina (Carl) Thyberg, Nancy (Simon James), and David (Cindi). He is also survived by his aunts, Aileen Wallace Rodnick and Joan Dickie, as well as his brother and sister-in-law George and Linda Dickie. He was preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Patrica Wallace. In addition to his tremendous love and devotion to his beloved wife, family, friends and his faith, Kevin enjoyed traveling and celebrating his Irish heritage. Kevin most recently fulfilled a life-long dream of traveling throughout Ireland with his family.

Relatives and friends are invited to Kevin's Life Celebration on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 5175 Cold Spring Creamery Road, Doylestown, PA 18902 from 4-8 PM followed by a funeral mass immediately thereafter. Interment with military honors will be at 9 AM on Friday, July 22 at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd., Newtown, PA 18940.
