Since graduation, I worked a few small jobs in Bowie before joining the Baltimore City Police Dept.
I joined the PD in 1984 and recently retired in Sept. of 2009 with 25 years of service. Glad to be out!! I am now working security part time at a new retirement village about 2 minutes from my house. I will be married 26 years this October. I met my charming wife Karen at PG College. We started dating in 1982 and got married in 1986.
She is a RN by trade but now is a Senior Director for Blue Cross Blue Shield and works in Baltimore City. Our first move from the Bowie area was to Catonsville, Md. to be closer to our jobs. We then moved to Manchester in Carroll County in 1987 and lived there until 1992. Our last and final move was in 1993 to Hanover, Pa. where we are currently living. It is only about 50 minutes north of Baltimore. Not too bad of a commute.
My oldest daughter Brittany is 24 and lives in York, Pa. She works in a Hair Salon. She went to cosmotology school and graduated about 5 years ago. She loves her job! She is now working in sales with beauty supplies and products and travels all over Pa. Lindsay my youngest daughter will be 21 in November and works at Starbucks also in York, Pa. She really doesn't know what she wants to do yet but is leaning towards a degree in Business. She loves to travel out to California and hopes to live out there one day.
The best thing that has happened to me lately was winning a brand new 2012 Shelby Cobra GT500 Mustang in a raffle at the Carlisle Car Show this past June. It was even signed by Carroll Shelby himself. I also have a 1965 Mustang which I restored this past year and I enjoy attending car shows wherever they may be.
I hope to see everyone at the next reunion perhaps in 2015?
